Why I became a photographer
People often asked me, “Why did you become a photographer Tania?” I have always had a love for beautiful photography. I would often assist photographers while on set, either holding a reflector or adjusting makeup or hair. I am also a hair and makeup artist, and would work with photographers regularly. Over time, I developed a passion for creating images. I was wanting a camera for a while and mentioned it to my husband, time passed and one Christmas I opened a gift, and there was my new Camera!
Getting Started
Being super excited and connected in the industry, I already knew a lot of model’s and I started booking photo shoots. My goal was to learn the ins and outs about lighting, posing etc. I absolutely fell in love with natural light photography. I started to take a big interest in Portrait photography and found a mentor named Sue Bryce. I joined her education site and learned everything about portrait photography, lightening and everything else.
I still love hair & makeup artistry and will most often offer hair & makeup services to my boudoir clients,I love the entire process of my client prep, the dress, hair and makeup and then posing. I love capturing a clients true essence with my lens. Every woman is so unique and they deserve to have the best experience possible. I like to get to know my clients and I find out why they want to book a session.
Boudoir Photography
Being a woman and a mother, I know what it’s like to get caught up in the day to day and forget to do things for myself. After my first child, I lost myself! I then found myself separated, and I became a single mom. It was tough times for me, but then I booked my first boudoir session. It really helped me reconnect with ME and I actually found who I really was. It was such an empowering experience. It’s so difficult to put into words, but I was changed! I really love to empower other women to love themselves right now! I enjoying seeing them embrace their curves, and beam from ear to ear, when they see that sneak peek at the back of my camera. It really is a joy for me!
