I am all about all natural non toxic makeup and products. I am also very particular when it comes to the makeup I use on myself, and my clients.
Being a makeup artist for over 15 years, I never wanted to compromise the performance of pro grade makeup for a non toxic brand. Of coarse I tried other mineral makeup on myself, but it just didn’t even come close to pro grade makeup that I use on my clients. Until now.
I have been using this brand for almost a year now, it is tested and true and I am loving it. So much so, I am going to be transitioning and implementing this into my photography business. I will be using this on my clients.
I feel so great knowing that I am using non toxic skin care products and makeup on myself and my amazing clients.
Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies, and absorbs everything, like a sponge. Be sure you are taking care of what you put on your skin. Look into the ingredients. There are chemicals that can harm your body and your health. I want to make sure that you are aware of this.
Tinted Moisturizer: This was the first of the makeup products that I purchased. I wasn’t sure whether to get the Hydrating Foundation or this. I love this tinted moisturizer for summer day’s when my skin has a bit of colour to it, or those day’s when I am just around the house and need a bit of coverage. It’s has a beautiful texture and glides on your skin.. Feels like satin. If you are looking for light weigh coverage, this is would be your go to.
Hydrating Foundation: This foundation is beautiful and feels so light weight on the skin. It also is build-able, so if you need a bit more coverage, you got it in this foundation. I use this on my clients and it photographs so well. I love that it’s hydrating the skin with natural goodness while offering light to full coverage. This one is in my makeup kit.
Concealer: I have searched all over for the perfect concealer. I want to be sure that the concealer I use, doesn’t settle in the fine lines around the eyes. This concealer delivers on my check list. Being a mom and busy woman, I need something that is going to cover up and brighten my under eye. Loving this one.
Mattifying Powder: Loving this one for my personal use and it’s also in my pro kit. Great for setting and baking a concealer and mattifying your foundation, if you tend to get a bit oily during the day. It’s translucent and ads no colour at all, which I love.
Checks & Highlight
Blush: Even when I am rushing in the morning, getting the kids out the door, I never forget my blush. Blush just has a way of adding dimension to your face. I can have had no sleep, and I pop my blush on and looks so much better. I love this satin blush, as it is truly such a beautiful texture. I carry this in my own makeup case and in my pro kit.
Bronzer: Love this bronzer anytime of year. Especially in the summer. I actually use it in place of blush or in combination. I even use it as a contour at times also. Really brings out the check bones and gives that true sun kissed look.
Highlighter: Such a beautiful build-able highlighter. You can opt for a hint of this or apm it up for a night out. Smooth beautiful texture makes for a pretty light on the checks, forehead or Decolletage.
Velvet Eyeshadow: The classic Palette and the Romantic Palette are my ultimate favs. They are great for any kit or any busy woman on the go. All the colours are complementary and I use all the the colours. In the passed when I would purchase a palette, I would most often not use all of the colours, these are an exception. The colour is highly pigmented, great for a pro kit also.
Brows: I get asked about brow’s all the time. Personally I love to use powders on my own brow’s. I over plucked in the 90’s and don’t have a lot of hair left. I find that powder gives a softer look, while also being easier to apply. I do like using pencil of some of my clients. If my client has an abundance of eyebrow hair, I will opt for a pencil to fill in the areas that are needed, and also use the brow gel to keep the brows in place all day or night. I haven’t tried the non toxic mascara just yet, but I will and I will keep you posted on what I think of that.
Sheer Lipstick: Hands down my favourite lipstick to date. I love the velvet texture, it makes my lips feel like satin. I usually have to apply a lip balm before and after applying regular lipstick. Not with this, its a 3 in one lipstick that conditions, and ads beautiful sheer colour, for everyday wear.
Pout Perfecter Lip Care Set: If you suffer with dry chapped lips, this set will recover your lip skin in no time. I love how all of these products work together to keep my lips feeling great and looking great too.
