How To Choose Your Toronto Boudoir Photographer
I asked myself this questions a few times actually! I have had 2 boudoir session so far and I’m 51 and not done yet! I am over due for my next boudoir session. I for sure want a female to take my photos. I just feel more comfortable, how about you? I want to feel at ease in a non judging environment. After all I am not perfect. After having 4 kids, I have stretch marks and some cellulite! All things that I want to celebrate without feeling self conscious. I am a bit of an introvert and not a huge fan of a crowd being around watching my every move. So a huge production studio wouldn’t be something that would be a great fit for me. I like one on one and will be able to let loose and feel my best in this situation. Does this sound like you?
Have you been searching for the right Toronto Boudoir Photographer?
So you know how I feel then! It’s kind of like looking for the right hairdresser. Not all photographers are the same. We all have a different photo technique and work flow. So how do you go about finding the right photographer for you? Jump on a call with your potential photographers. Ask questions. Questions that I would want to know.
How many people will be in the studio the day of my shoot?
What’s your process and philosophy?
Will you be sharing my images online?
Also, take a look at their portfolio to see if you like their particular style.
Will they provide complete posing direction?
Look at their portfolio and see if they have mostly models in there portfolio. A lot of photographers don’t know the art of posing and how to work with someone that has never been in front of a camera before.
Boudoir Photography Is An Investment
I do have clients coming back in for second and third shoots. Some of my clients come in to see me for each milestone. Then they also book me for their family portraits and head shots. Some women will invest in a boudoir photo shoot once or twice in their life. So it’s important that you find the right photographer for your style.
Conclusion
As mentioned before, having a list of questions ready for your phone consult will really help you figure out who is the best to take your images. A boudoir photographer is someone that specializes in empowering women to feel beautiful. It’s so important to trust your Toronto boudoir photographer, so it’s ok to be picky in your search.
