Boudoir Outfit Trends 2023
I started photographing boudoir clients in Toronto since 2017. Boudoir Trends have changed a bit since then. What used to be really popular isn’t that way any longer. Skinny jeans are now flared and solid colours are now prints. I’ll be updating my What To Wear recommendations in this blog post.
2023 Boudoir Outfit Trends
As we move into 2023, the 2023 boudoir trends scene in Toronto continues to evolve. From new color palettes to bold patterns and unique accessories, there are plenty of exciting boudoir outfit trends to look out for this year.
Body Suits are still a thing
Body suits have been on the rise for a few years now, and they're not going anywhere in 2023. This trend is all about structured tailoring, bold colors, and sharp lines. Look for suits in shades of red, emerald green, and cobalt blue, paired with statement accessories like oversized earrings or chunky necklaces. Long sleeve classy look body suits are also a great option. There are all different types of bottom styles when choosing. Thongs, bikini bottoms and boy shorts. The cheeky body suits is also a good option.
Mixed Patterns
Gone are the days of sticking to one pattern at a time. In 2023, it's all about mixing and matching different prints and textures to create a unique look. Try pairing a floral print bra with a solid bottom. The key is to choose patterns that complement each other and stick to a cohesive color scheme.
Monochromatic Looks
While mixing patterns is a fun trend, monochromatic looks are also having a moment in 2023. This trend involves wearing one colour from head to toe, with different shades and textures to add depth and interest. Try a head-to-toe beige outfit, or a bright red bra and pantie set, with a mix of fabrics like leather, silk, and cotton.
Statement Accessories
Accessories are always a key element in any outfit, but in 2023 they're taking center stage. Think oversized earrings, chunky necklaces, and bold statement pieces. You can also rock blazers and form fitted dresses also.
Sheer Layers
Another trend that's on the rise in 2023 is the use of sheer layers. This trend involves layering sheer fabrics over more substantial pieces to create a sultry, teasing look. Try pairing a sheer robe over a lace bra and panty set, or layer a sheer chemise over a silk slip for an added dimension of depth and texture.
Comfy Boudoir Trend Options
The off the shoulder sweater is always a great idea! You can choose a colour that will look great with your complexion. How about an item from your significant others wardrobe? I’m sure they would love to see you wearing something of theirs. Jeans are always in style. Be sure you feel great in the jeans that you choose. Go for a great fit that flatters your curves.
Don’t Forget The Shoes
Be sure to bring in at least 1 pair of shoes to your boudoir photo shoot. Any colour that matches most of your outfits is great! Black or nude is always safe. You can also opt for a nice pop of colour if you like brighter statement shoes.
Be sure to bring more than enough outfits. Here’s a list that I recommend to my clients.
At least one bodysuit
3-5 bra and panty sets, bring different panty options. Don’t forget, the underwear should be one size bigger than you normally wear! This is key.
1 Button-up and or off-the-shoulder sweater.
The more outfits, the better..
If you are unsure about what you should bring to your boudoir photo shoot, then bring it all. We will come up with something when you arrive at the studio. :) More is better then not enough..
